Guevara is calling for a strategy of total, unconditional struggle that does not confine itself to conventional battlefields. He argues that a genuine revolutionary fight must reach into the everyday spaces where the enemy feels secure, including homes and places of leisure. Context

This comes from Guevara's 1967 message to the Tricontinental, a solidarity organization connecting revolutionary movements across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Written near the end of his life, the message is one of his most forceful statements on the necessity of armed struggle against imperialism. He was arguing that isolated national struggles needed to become a coordinated global effort, and that guerrilla tactics should be applied broadly rather than limited to remote jungles or mountains.

Ernesto "Che" Guevara was born in Argentina in 1928 and became one of the most iconic revolutionary figures of the twentieth century. Trained as a physician, he became radicalized through travels across Latin America and went on to play a leading military role in the Cuban Revolution alongside Fidel Castro. After Cuba, he continued seeking to foment revolution in other countries. He was captured and executed in Bolivia in 1967.
